I must be mad to be going away for two weeks on Sunday. First, because the weather here is gorgeous and secondly because so much happens in the autumn. Most other people have returned from their hols full of energy and ideas and here we are are sloping off to Turkey leaving all the interesting stuff behind. Walter is up for various jobs again and is due to hear about them over the next fortnight, there is a Department of Health bid for money to get in by the end of October, decisions to be made about a new web site for DCN and I am being consulted about all sorts of things that I can’t talk about at the moment, and have to go away just as it’s all beginning to get interesting. This is what comes of putting everything on hold in the summer whilst we waited for our grand-daughter to be born…totally worth it, but I think whilst us pensioners continue to behave like full members of the working world, we will just have to take our holidays when everyone else does if we are not to be left behind.
The donor conception world is a small but fascinating one. I look forward to returning to it on 16th October but in the meantime am going to enjoy every minute of being away.
