Spanish women selling their eggs in hard times

Spaniards are having a hard time of it these days economically.  This film http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/330674/28/Sperm-and-eggs-sold-in-Spain-to-help-economy  from CNN tells us that there has been an increase of 30 per cent in the last two years in egg and sperm donations.  1000 Euros per donation for eggs may seem little when times are good but when times are tough it means a lot.  The woman featured is donating for a fifth time, which is unlikely to be good for her.

Can we be sure this is not happening in the UK?  I don’t think we can.  So much for the HFEA following Spain in providing ‘compensation’ to eggs donors for a similar, apparently non-incentivising, amount.
